The buildings

Two buildings, a few blocks apart

835 Wilshire (Suite 500) is at the corner of Wilshire and Figueroa, steps from the 7th St/Metro Center station and the 110. The suite has a Large Deposition Room for up to 12 and a standard Deposition Room for up to 8, plus private offices and a client lounge.

611 Wilshire (Suite 900) is a high-rise at Wilshire and Grand in the financial district, within walking distance of the courts, Metro and hotels. It has a Large Deposition Room for up to 12 and a smaller standard room for up to 6.

How to choose between them:

  • Seven or eight people (witness, reporter, two or three attorneys, a client representative): the standard room at 835 Wilshire, or either Large Deposition Room.
  • Six or fewer: the standard room at either building.
  • Video deposition, several parties or a mediation joint session: a Large Deposition Room. Both buildings have one.
  • Witness prep or a mediation caucus: add a Client Meeting Room (2–4 seats) at the same building, subject to availability.

Why Downtown works for a deposition

Downtown is home to the Stanley Mosk Courthouse of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, at 111 N. Hill Street, and it is a central meeting point for counsel and witnesses coming from different parts of the county, by freeway or by Metro rail.

A neutral room also keeps the deposition out of your office: no one waits in your lobby, your files stay out of sight, and you can take a break in a separate room without opposing counsel down the hall.

In California state cases, where you may notice a deposition depends on where the deponent lives. Before you book, check the distance rules in our guide Where can a deposition be held in California?

Getting there and getting in

Arrival and access instructions come with your confirmation. Forward them to the witness, the court reporter and opposing counsel: rooms are by appointment, and the instructions — not a receptionist — tell everyone where to go and how to get in.

Parking is run by each building or nearby garages, not by Depo Pros, and rates vary. If your witness is driving, build in time to park; if parking matters for your matter, call before you book and we will tell you what we know about that building.

Mediations Downtown

For a mediation, book a Large Deposition Room for the joint session and a Client Meeting Room for each side's caucus. A full day with two caucus rooms comes to $1,750 ($1,050 for the large room plus $350 per caucus room). See mediation rooms in Los Angeles for more combinations.
